Electrician

Duration: 2 yr.

Skills acquired:
On completion of the course the trainee shall have through knowledge of, generation, transmission and distribution line, overhead different types of insulators. Earthing used in substation, power station, lighting arrestor, reactor, and different types of capacitors in AC/DC circuit used in electronic and electrical installation in industries. Construction of different types of batteries and electrolytes used in it, he shall able to prepare and repair batteries in workshop. Servicing and repairing of table fan, ceiling fan, exhaust fan, hair dryer, mixer, liquidizer, grinder, water pump, washing machine, AC/DC generator, transformers, electromagnetic clutches and relays used in AC/DC circuit. He shall be able to, design prepare HT/CT panel boards used for industries / workshop. Detect Fault in different types of AC and DC starter and motor timer used in factories and workshop and take up maintenance of machinery like lathe, machine, milling machine, capson lathe, CNC machine, Connect different types of measuring instrument on the panel boards. He shall be an expert in hand winding and machine winding of transformers, field coils of DC motors, rewinding of armature stator winding bell/Buzzer/NVC, OLC of DC starter.

Options for employment are :

Can work as a lineman / Wireman /maintenance electrician electrical supervisor / electrical contractor / service technician/expert rewinder/ lab technician /electrical maintenance Forman in Pvt. sector industries and govt. sector.

Options for self-employment are :

He can be a contractor of domestic wiring and industrial wiring and disco lighting in five star hotels. He shall be able to run his own electrical workshop. And take up oil filtration of transformer on lines. Setup own shop for rewinding of different types of AC/DC motors, generator & transformers, Panel board wiring busbar wiring and measuring instrument wiring.

Mahapragya was born to Tola Ram Choraria and Baluji in the small village of Tamkor in the Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan . It was a Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi family. He was called Nathmal by his family. He lost his father when he was just two and half months old It was a joint family and the child had support from all the family members. Nathmal's mother was very affectionate for the child and took utmost care in the upbringing. There was no formal school in Tamkor village in those days and he didn't get any formal education. Nathmal took some lessons on letters and mathematics tables from local teacher(s). Mahapragya's mother was a religious lady. She preferred to devote al herl spare time to spiritual exertion. She also used to recite religious songs which made imprints on the young child's heart. Her indulgence towards spirituality inspired the young child.
The family and child Nathmal used to be in regular touch with Jain monks. He got lessons on Jain philosophy from monks who visited the village. Regular contact with monks nourished the spiritual seed in the child. Nathmal then conveyed his wishes of getting initiated into monkhood to his mother . On 29 January 1931, he became a monk at the age of ten. Acharya Kalugani, eighth Acharya of Jain Swetambar Terapanth, initiated Nathmal to monkhood in the town of Sardarsahar (Rajasthan). With this, Nathmal became Muni Nathmal [12] . Acharya Kalugani arranged for Muni Nathmal's studies under Muni Tulsi's classes, who later became the Ninth Acharya. Nathmal started getting lessons in the monastery on various subjects of Jain philosophy.
Nathmal had a great learning capacity and a good memory. With Muni Tulsi, the child’s intellectual development became accelerated and he memorised thousands of sermons and verses in Hindi, Sanskrit, Prakrit, and Rajasthani. His education at the monastery included history, philosophy, logic, and grammar. He made an in-depth study of Jain scriptures, became a scholar of Jain Agamas, and a critic of Indian and western philosophy. By age 22, he was competent in Hindi, Sanskrit, Prakrit, and Rajasthani languages and literature. In Sanskrit, he was also an expert impromptu or extempore poet and has demonstrated this skill in many gatherings of intellectuals. A thirst for knowledge led him also to study physics, biology, ayurved, politics, economics, and sociology

Apart from following the guidelines of National  Council for Vocational Training (NCVT ), Acharya Shree  Mahapragya Industrial Training Center has the following aims and objectives for its training program:
.
1. To impart training in the fields of communication, personal discipline, sincerity,  hard work, honesty, computers etc. for overall development of the students in order to meet the challenging industrial needs of multi-skilled manpower.
.
2. To equip students in effective and efficient ‘hands on’ competence, which will enable them to compete with confidence in opportunities for employment and thereby reduce un-employment among the educated youth.

3. To help solve the problem of shortage of trained technical manpower required by the industries.

The industrial training centre is started with the objective of creating employable youth in villages. It provides necessary amenities required to get diploma from ITI, NCVT. This diploma opens many ventures for the students to get jobs. Acharya Mahapragya Seva Sansthan operates this centre, provides the needed faculty and infrastructure, which is exceptional in a village like Tamkor. Currently, it operates three departments: Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Electrician and Embroidery and Needlework. This centre enables many rural youth in and around Tamkor to get a living and hence solves the problem of unemployment and poverty. In its first year of operation, it trains 45 students from 10 villages. Having this ultimatum at the back of our mind, we modestly aspire to have an independent building of our own in the near future. The ITI has been started with the kind support of Shri. Punam Chand Chajer and Ranjit Singh Kothari and is operational at their premises. The Electrician Department is funded by M. D. Bagala Trust, The computer Deparment is sponsored by Ranjit Singh Kothari, and The Embroidery and Needlework Department is supported financially by Vijay Singh Choraria respectively.
